Course Tutor
Amanda Hilton, CiLCA Qualified Clerk, PSLCC
With over 15 years of experience in local government and community engagement, Amanda brings a strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills to her role as a Clerk. Amanda started as Administrative Assistant at Heybridge Parish Council, and quickly progressed to Events Committee Clerk, where she transformed traditional council meetings into vibrant community events that brought people together.
Amanda’s passion for learning and development led her to achieve ILCA and later her CiLCA qualification, becoming a fully qualified Clerk in 2019. Along the way, she has gained expertise in governance, compliance, and project management—skills that translate perfectly into supporting learners in achieving their goals. Amanda strongly believes learning should be engaging, practical, and confidence-building.
Before commencing in her council career, Amanda worked as a Paralegal for Essex County Council and as a Legal Secretary, giving her a strong foundation in attention to detail.
